The season of Advent has always been my favorite time of year, both as a Christian and as a singer. Caroling, Messiah-ing, reflecting on the year in it’s entirety. Did I accomplish all the  “important” things on my year-long To Do list? Did I conquer new fears? Reach new goals? Did I make a difference in someone’s life? Discovering ways to share my talents as a musician by fostering hope and celebrating the sheer beauty of this season with others is a continuous journey. Sing For Hope, an organization of which I am so very proud to support, is one such way for artists to give back and inspire. I’m pictured below with patients at Mount Sinai, as an SFH volunteer during this year’s Christmas celebration. The video is of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in White Plains, New York, Christmas Eve, 2013. To find out more about Sing For Hope, visit their website at
