Andrea Jones-Sojola, Karmesha K. Peake and I “Sing a Roy Song” at Historic Abyssinian Baptist August 10, 2014

aby shot of us twYesterday I had the great privilege of “singing a Roy song” – as my dear friend Karmesha likes to say – at Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem. I sing there regularly, but yesterday was quite special in that our rendering as a trio was an arrangement of composer Roy Jennings’, a longtime musician, collaborator and friend of Aby. The congregation was supportive and enthusiastic and we were blessed. My friends can SING! Click the link below to livestream.
